All volunteers will be asked to submit their Volunteer Disclosure Forms online. This process will allow volunteers consistency in submitting information and provide faster submission of the required forms to OSA. The process is simple, but it does require the cooperation of club administrators and volunteers to complete the information online.
Below is a step-by-step process for Risk Managment Coordinators:
1. All volunteers (includes board, admins, managers, coaches, trainers, assistant coaches, refs, and other club volunteers-anyone 18 and older that volunteers) will contact the Risk Management Coordinator and provide him/her with the volunteer’s name and email address.
2. The club Gotsoccer administrator will create coach or team official profiles for ALL volunteers by entering the names of volunteers with their email address. The system will issue secured logins and email that information to the volunteers.
3. Volunteers will then use the login issued to them and go to www.gotsport.com and submit their volunteer information for a background check.
4. Administrators must monitor Gotsoccer regularly to ensure that volunteers are completing their volunteer online registration to receive approval by the system. (Coaches and managers that take over teams mid-season, other volunteers that sign up late, etc. must all be added and processed as they sign up to volunteer.
5. Coaches, managers, and other team staff can be assigned to teams once approved. No one may volunteer with a club without a volunteer form on file.)
