Oklahoma Soccer Association’s Adult Division has announced the State Championship tournament will be held June 13-15 at the Torchia Oliver complex (Metro Tulsa) in Tulsa. Complete tournament rules are included in the link below.
Entry fee: $300 before May 15; after May 15 fee is $350.

PLAYER CRITERIA

The following are the requirements for all participating players:
§ Any athlete meeting this Player Criteria may register and play in this tournament.
§ Minimum age of 16 with release/acknowledgement from their Youth governing body.
§ All players must have proof of eligibility (USASA/USYSA player pass) and provide it as required prior to and during the tournament. 
§ All players must be currently USASA registered for the soccer year and must have been registered with the team playing with during the same soccer year.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Teams are made up of any soccer player meeting the Player Criteria above, identified by the team representative/coach.  The playing divisions are:

§ Men’s Competitive:  Adult Division 1 and Division 2 teams assigned by the home association.
§ Women’s Competitive:  Adult Division 1and Division 2 teams as assigned by the home association.
§ Men’s Over 30 Competitive:   Adult Over 30 Division 1 teams only as assigned by the home association.  Players under 30 may participate so as long as they turn 30 during the soccer year (September 1-August 31) 
§ Men’s Recreational:   All other Adult Division teams as assigned by the home association.
§ Women’s Recreational:  All other Adult Division teams as assigned by the home association.
§ Men’s Over 30 Recreational:  All other Adult Over 30 teams only as assigned by the home association.  Players under 30 may participate so as long as they turn 30 during the soccer year (September 1-August 31). 
§ Men’s Masters:  Adult Over 38 teams only as assigned by the home association.  Players under 35 may participate so as long as they turn 35 during the soccer year (September 1-August 31).

The two major adult championship cup tournaments in the United States are the National Amateur Cup and the Lamar Hunt US Open. Amateur teams may compete in these tournaments. Information is included in the links below as well as applications for the two tournaments:

Six women from NEOASA traveled to the Veterans Cup to play for the Michigan United team. All six players are from the Good Vibrations squad: Boni Franklin, Anita Henderson, Brenda Locke, Lynda Riggs, Elaine Simpson, and Londa Tanner.

National Adult Soccer Tournament!
Bellingham, Washington and the Northwest Soccer Park
July 17 – July 22, 2007

The Veteran’s Cup returns to celebrate its 10th Anniversary
at Northwest Soccer Park ~ the site of the first year of the event in 1998.

The U.S. Veteran’s Cup soccer tournament was established in 1998 by the United States Adult Soccer Association with the intention of providing high-level soccer to both men and women 30 years of age and older. The current Veteran’s Cup tournament is a 6 day event with an anticipated 130-140 adult soccer teams, comprising approximately 4,400 players, referees, family members!  Teams now compete in women’s and men’s brackets that include Over 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55 and 60!
 
This year, an Over 60 women’s bracket has been added and has six teams already registered (more than any other bracket)!!  The Over 60 women are very passionate about their play and definitely very serious and organized about competing in their first National Tournament!
