U11 and up Recreational	E Certificate *National Youth License or D License is strongly recommended
U11 and up Competitive Non- Oklahoma Premier League	D License - State
U11 and up Competitive Oklahoma Premier League	D License - National

Coaching License Requirement Policies

Coaching License Requirement Policies
• All OSA issued certificates/licenses are lifetime certifications/licenses.
• All Coaches will have 365 days; from the day they begin coaching a particular age group, to obtain proper certification.
• These requirements went into affect 8-1-03. All current coaches will have 365 days for this date to obtain their appropriate certification.
• Clubs and/or associations will be encouraged to host in-house clinics/workshops for their U5-U10 coaches.
• License requirements apply to the following coaches:
 U5 – U10: Head coaches only
 U11 & up – Non-Oklahoma Premier League: Head coaches only
 U11 & up – Oklahoma Premier League: Head coaches, assistant coaches, and trainers
• There are no prerequisite certifications for the Youth Module Courses. These courses are open to anybody older than 14.
• There is no prerequisite certification for the ‘E’ certificate course. This course is open to anybody older than 16.
• Prerequisites certification for the ‘D’ license course are:
 Minimum age of 18 years old
 ‘E’ certificate, held for at least one season or six months
• For Youth Modules Level I and II certificates there are no course waivers. However, an OSA ‘F’ certificate issued between 1998 and 2001 or a United States Soccer Federation national license (‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ or ‘Y’) or equivalent serves as acceptable certification. The ‘E’ or ‘D’ certificate and ‘D’ license (State or National) are not acceptable certification substitutes for this requirement.
• For an ‘E’ certificate, a ‘D’ Certificate, a ‘D’ License or a United States Soccer Federation national ‘A’, ‘B’, or ‘C’ license or equivalent serves as acceptable certification.
• For a ‘D’ license, a United States Soccer Federation national ‘A’, ‘B’, or ‘C’ license or equivalent serves as acceptable certification.
• All Youth Module courses are pass/fail based on attendance.
• The ‘E’ certificate course is pass/fail based on attendance and completion of course work.
• The ‘D’ license course is an evaluated course. Attendance is required and coaches are evaluated on written exams, video exams, and a practical coaching session.
• All clubs must enforce the coaching license requirements within their own organization.
• Proof appropriate license will be required for participation at all Oklahoma Soccer Association State Tournaments or Festivals, i.e. Tide Cup, Chevy Cup, and State Open.
• Recommendation would be for any coach working with U14 or older players to have at least a state ‘D’ license for non-Oklahoma Premier League teams and at least a USSF ‘C’ of Oklahoma Premier League teams
