Fall 2007 information

Oklahoma Premier League Fall 2007

All teams that were eligible for OPL for the Fall 2007 season (relegated and promoted teams) we will be allowed to play in OPL for this season. No challenge matches will be played. For the Fall 2007 Season we are striving for 10 teams per age group. However some age groups due to situations have more than 10, but confirmation of team formations and 51% returning players have not been received.

All teams that participate in OPL and finish in the top six teams will be required to play in State Cup at the end of the year. If a team is not in the top six they can play in both State Cup and President’s Cup or just one of the post season tournaments.

Application is online and must be completed by August 1st. Each team can choose 4 no play dates. The entry fee, made payable to OSA and mailed to the Tulsa office, for the league for the fall is $175, plus each team will be required to post a $250 team bond, no club bonds. The bond is required to insure that all teams show up for all scheduled matches and will not be cashed unless an incident as such takes place. We will continue to schedule all matches as a mini tournament format. There will be NO RESCHEDULES in OPL this year. All games will be scheduled on Saturday and Sundays. Only one game per day.

Please review all the information available about OPL matches on the OSA website. Please also review the OPL guidelines.

All coaches that are coaching in the OPL are required to have a National “D” coaching license. If a coach does not have the required National “D” license they need to be enrolled in the next “D” coaching class. If they currently do not have this license they will be given a twelve month grace period for the first year and after that they will be required to have it PRIOR to coaching in the league. A copy of the coaching license must be submitted.

Volunteer Disclosure Statements will need to be submitted for all adults that will be working with the players, such as coach, assistant coach, and manager.

As the year progresses OSA will be working on a permanent formula for the future of our league after this year.
