Keith Ash and Gary Poulsen will be inducted into the 2013 Class of Oklahoma Soccer’s Hall of Fame on Friday night, February 1, 2013 at the Downtown DoubleTree hotel in Tulsa. The evening event will begin at 6:30 with a reception for the two inductees and at 7pm they will be formally inducted and a short program summarizing their contributions to Oklahoma soccer will be presented.
Keith Ash is a longtime volunteer and administrator in the Broken Arrow Soccer Club where he has served in nearly every board position. He has also served as Green Country Soccer Association president and currently works with the OSA bylaws committee.
Gary Poulsen began his association with Oklahoma soccer in the 1970’s when his children began playing soccer. After agreeing to be a referee for his son’s team, Gary became involved in nearly every aspect of refereeing in Oklahoma. His legacy includes developing the assessment program for referees, creating the instructional program in use in today’s training of referees, and watching as his son, Ron, continued the family interest in officiating by becoming Oklahoma’s current State Referee Administrator.
Please plan on attending the Friday evening induction ceremony – it is open to the public for no charge.
